The Aroma of Christ!

Betty WisemanFinal exams are over and we are ready and waiting for Monday’s departure at 1:50 p.m. Our flight takes us through Chicago to Rome. From Rome we will be taking a two hour train ride to Naples for our ten days of ministry. Everything is in order as team members spend a few days with family before leaving.

Some of my daily devotions in recent weeks have centered around the following scripture:

“Thanks be to God who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved, to those who are perishing. ..…in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, like men sent from God.”
2 Corinthians: 2: 14-17

“We are the aroma of Christ!” WOW!

Oh, that we will be the sweet aroma of Christ during these days in Naples! God has triumphed – He is the General – He leads us in Christ. We follow! We are to manifest that triumph in our ministry in Naples. We will be an aroma that will initiate a response of some kind day in and day out. I pray the fragrance of our lives will be sweet, sincere, encouraging, loving, joyful, peaceful, and inviting as we share the amazing saving grace of Jesus Christ through our actions, testimonies, and the gospel.

More later - from Naples!

Looking at the picture of these young men and women sitting at the dinner table caused me to stop and thank our Lord for the lives He has given, the gifts He has provided and the plans He has for each of you. Remember Paul's testimony, "God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you always having all sufficiency in all things may abound to every good work."Amazing, all His grace, always poured out on you in abundance, so that you can always have everything you need for His work. A promise worth claiming every day.

Hi Belmont team! We're so glad to see many of you from last year and some "new" ones heading to Naples! We'll be praying and following you through the blog and we're POSITIVE that the Worthys will take great care of you. They are an awesome family! Much love from Malta, The Pinkstons

I know that we as parents have enjoyed having our children home for a few days...they are "resting up" as they prepare for the work that the Lord has assigned us all: to spread the Good News about the wonderful grace of God. I am excited for them and so thankful that they have this opportunity.
