Final exams are over and we are ready and waiting for Monday’s departure at 1:50 p.m. Our flight takes us through Chicago to Rome. From Rome we will be taking a two hour train ride to Naples for our ten days of ministry. Everything is in order as team members spend a few days with family before leaving.
Some of my daily devotions in recent weeks have centered around the following scripture:
“Thanks be to God who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved, to those who are perishing. ..…in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, like men sent from God.”
2 Corinthians: 2: 14-17
“We are the aroma of Christ!” WOW!
Oh, that we will be the sweet aroma of Christ during these days in Naples! God has triumphed – He is the General – He leads us in Christ. We follow! We are to manifest that triumph in our ministry in Naples. We will be an aroma that will initiate a response of some kind day in and day out. I pray the fragrance of our lives will be sweet, sincere, encouraging, loving, joyful, peaceful, and inviting as we share the amazing saving grace of Jesus Christ through our actions, testimonies, and the gospel.
More later - from Naples!
