Dr. Marilyn Thompson Odom, Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Belmont University’s School of Pharmacy, has recently published a mini-review series on the breast cancer susceptibility gene 1, BRCA1. The series, entitled “BRCA1: 16 years later” was published in the August, 2010 issue of FEBS Journal, which is published monthly on behalf of the Federation of European Biochemical Societies. Dr. Odom was invited to co-ordinate and submit the series by the journal editor. As co-ordinator, she invited Dr. Fen Xia, Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at Vanderbilt University, and Dr. Patricia Kruk, Professor of Pathology and Cell Biology and Oncologic Science at the University of South Florida to submit articles to be included in the series.
