The AMLC and Songwriters Guild of America are inviting songwriters, publishers and those interested in attending to a free Town Hall event in Nashville on April 10th. The informal and informational event will be held on April 10th at Rocket Town, 601 4th Avenue, South Building. Doors open at 5PM Central. The event runs from 5:30-8:30 p.m Central. Topics addressed will include the MMA, the two entities applying for designation as the MLC, and the future impact to songwriters.
As we work together to increase the royalty rates earned by songwriters, we must also ensure that money earned from streaming music is paid to the person or entity who earned it. You write. You Earn It. We Pay It.
The AMLC and the Songwriter’s Guild are holding their event the same day the NMPA Town Hall meeting will take place. Attendees are encouraged to attend both events to learn more about the MMA, the MLC, and the different approaches each organization is putting forth. The NMPA and NSAI have been invited to sit on the panel with the AMLC and SGA representatives.
