Ideal candidate will…(list of attributes and skills): In addition to a positive attitude and attention to detail, the ideal candidate will posses knowledge of popular DAW’s such as Pro Tools and Logic. Familiarity with OS X is a must. Knowledge of older recording formats, such as reel-to-reel tape machines and DAT can be helpful.
PERFORMANCE TASKS: During this internship, the student will… (list of tasks, responsibilities and potential projects): During this internship, the student will work in assisting us in archiving master recordings for our major label clients. The student might also assist in transferring and digitizing legacy recordings in a number of formats.
INTERNSHIP OUTCOMES: At the end of this internship, the student will be able to… (list of learning objectives): At the end of this internship, the student will have a better understanding of major label recording projects, the delivery process, how they are verified, and how to preserve them. This internship is a great opportunity to learn about a very specific and increasingly important niche within the music industry.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: We are a Monday-Friday 10am-6pm company, so an applicant’s schedule would need to be able to work with those days. We do not offer nights/weekend work.
