Last year, the Music Biz Convention’s student attendance grew astronomically and we anticipate the same in 2017! As students and ultimately young professionals, it’s imperative that you take full advantage of all that the Music Biz schedule has to offer including:

  • Music Biz Student Reception: The Power of Networking — taking place on the first day of the convention, this mixer will leave students with tips for making the most of the opportunities at Music Biz 2017. 
  • Career Development Workshops — these workshops will provide insights into the skills employers are seeking in new hires as well as discuss how to set yourself apart on paper, online, and during interviews and networking events.
  • Career Day — students will have the opportunity to interview for internships and positions with companies such as BMI, CAA, Sony, Universal, Warner, and more! Stay tuned for details.   
  • Awards Breakfast & Presentations set to honor UMG Nashville’s Mike Dungan and feature a performance from one of his top artists!
  • Awards Luncheon set to honor Maren Morris, Lukas Graham, and other chart-toppers to be announced!
  • Featured Presentationsincluding A Conversation with Spotify’s Troy Carter, Music’s Leading Ladies Speak Out, and the NSAI Songwriter’s Circle!
  • Breakout Sessions on live streaming, vinyl, touring, management, songwriting & publishing, VR, social media, and so much more. 

Not a Music Biz member? No worries!

CEMB Students: You can sign up to become members of the Music Business Association for free. By doing so, you will be eligible to apply for the scholarships offered to their members.

HOW TO JOIN MUSIC BIZ:

  1. Go HERE
  2. Click on the “Join” tab
  3. Under the “First find out if you are already a member of Music Biz” section, enter your Belmont student email. This will provide a link to a member application that you can fill out and submit at no cost.
  4. Once your membership application is submitted, you will receive an email with your login information.
  5. Register for Music Biz 2017!
