The Nashville music industry is really just a small town. We see the same people over and over again at every industry event, coffee shop, and even the grocery store. One fault we are all guilty of is not rekindling these relationships when we see them. It’s so easy to see someone you barely know and think to yourself, “They probably don’t remember meeting me.” But the issue is, they are probably thinking the same thing.
Instead of taking the easy way out and acting like you don’t see them, next time try talking to them. Even if they don’t remember you or you can’t recall their name, that person will appreciate the effort and will remember you after that. It’s the first step to developing new relationships. Be bold and make the move!
