IEBA Goes Back to the Basics – Free to Students

IEBA has a strong commitment to the next generation of leaders in our industry, and has continued to grow its programming for young professionals each year. This year, IEBA is offering three sessions on Sunday, Oct. 2 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM that will take attendees from the booking process to day of show, and everything in between. Whether you are new to the industry or just want an update on some of the basics, join us for valuable information everyone must know to be successful. ‘Back to the Basics’ sessions on Sunday are free to students, but you must RSVP to intern1@ieba.org by Sept. 28.

“We are excited to announce the addition of IEBA’s ‘Back to the Basics’ session. This three part program – highlighting the booking, pre-show, and day-of-show processes – will be a great opportunity for everyone to hear from industry veterans on the fundamentals of live entertainment,” stated IEBA Board Member, Nicole Hardy of Neste Event Marketing.

In the Beginning – Some of the industry’s top agents and buyers discuss the booking process – starting with artist research and ending with a confirmation.

Entertainment is booked! Now what? – In this session we’ll focus on what happens between confirming your entertainment and actually seeing them on stage. Industry experts will discuss the basics of event marketing, public relations, ticketing, and sponsorships – and how they all interconnect to make your event a success.

Showtime! – We’ve all heard horror stories ranging from outrageous artist demands to disastrous venue accommodations – so how do you ensure a good show experience for EVERYONE involved? Join this roundtable discussion of where that ‘middle ground’ can be found for items such as catering, accommodations, production, and rider requirements.
