{"id":662,"date":"2012-05-01T07:59:29","date_gmt":"2012-05-01T13:59:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/forum.belmont.edu\/health\/?p=662"},"modified":"2012-12-26T12:45:31","modified_gmt":"2012-12-26T18:45:31","slug":"bursch-receives-outstanding-service-award-from-tpta","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forum.belmont.edu\/health\/2012\/05\/01\/bursch-receives-outstanding-service-award-from-tpta\/","title":{"rendered":"Bursch receives Outstanding Service Award from TPTA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/forum.belmont.edu\/health\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/BurschSmall1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-664\" style=\"border: 1px solid black; margin: 5px 10px;\" title=\"BurschSmall\" src=\"http:\/\/forum.belmont.edu\/health\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/BurschSmall1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"81\" height=\"116\" \/><\/a>Gail Bursch, Associate Professor of Physical Therapy, recently received the Outstanding Service Award from the Tennessee Physical Therapy Association (TPTA).\u00a0 The award recognizes dedication and hard work as demonstrated through extraordinary service, a distinctive role in the field of teaching, research or publishing, and outstanding contributions to the profession and health-related community organizations.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Baron Johnson, a physical therapist from Maryville, Tennessee who nominated Bursch for the award, commented on \u201cthe countless hours she has dedicated serving the profession of physical therapy and the Tennessee association.\u201d\u00a0 He added that, \u201cher leadership example and dedication to the profession has influenced and challenged me to serve for many years.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cThis award recognizes the spirit of service we see each day in working with Gail,\u201d said Dr. John Halle, Associate Dean in the Gordon E.
