The Presidential Faculty Achievement Award is presented each year to a faculty member who has made outstanding contributions to student life outside the classroom. The award honors and recognizes excellence in faculty-student relationships, special abilities in meeting student needs \u2013 academic, personal and professional \u2013 and symbolizes Belmont University\u2019s commitment to being a student-centered institution.<\/p>\n<p>Folds said, \u201cI feel so honored, blessed and humbled to receive the Presidential Faculty Achievement Award and\u00a0to work at \u00a0Belmont University where \u00a0the focus for all of us as administrators, faculty and staff is to use our unique gifts to serve students.\u00a0Every decision I make, I always ask myself \u2018How will this impact my students?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Also nominated for the award was Dr. Kelley Kiningham from the College of Pharmacy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Leslie Folds, associate professor of nursing, was awarded the 2012 Presidential Faculty Achievement Award at Belmont&#8217;s spring awards ceremony.
