{"id":5225,"date":"2019-05-02T07:41:09","date_gmt":"2019-05-02T13:41:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/forum.belmont.edu\/health\/?p=5225"},"modified":"2019-06-10T07:16:32","modified_gmt":"2019-06-10T13:16:32","slug":"dr-cathy-hinton-professor-of-physical-therapy-retires-after-20-years-teaching-at-belmont-school-of-physical-therapy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forum.belmont.edu\/health\/2019\/05\/02\/dr-cathy-hinton-professor-of-physical-therapy-retires-after-20-years-teaching-at-belmont-school-of-physical-therapy\/","title":{"rendered":"Dr. Cathy Hinton retires after 20 years teaching at School of Physical Therapy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/forum.belmont.edu\/health\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Hinton-Retires.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-5226\" src=\"http:\/\/forum.belmont.edu\/health\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Hinton-Retires-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>Dr. Cathy Hinton started teaching in the School of Physical Therapy in 1999 and therefore has had the privilege of having taught every single student to have graduated from the Belmont DPT program.\u00a0 Hinton is well respected by her students, and best known for her compassion, caring and of course, the chocolate she provides to the students on exam days!\u00a0 Dr. Hinton is the ultimate cheerleader for the profession of Physical Therapy, instilling that passion in her students through the years.\u00a0 She has served in every position in the Tennessee Physical Therapy Association (TPTA) and has served in numerous capacities with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) as well.\u00a0 Dr. Hinton has been the recipient of the <strong>Mac Hensley Hall of Fame award<\/strong> for 25 years of continuous service to the TPTA, <strong>Carol Likens Award<\/strong> for exceptional service to the profession and the <strong>Special Recognition<\/strong> award for exceptional service.
