Eric Hobson and\u00a0<span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">Alisa Spinelli and Dean of the College of Pharmacy Dr.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">Philip Johnston were published in <em>The American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education<\/em> with their article, \u201cStaging a Reflective Capstone Course to Transition PharmD Graduates to Professional Life.\u201d The article is the scholarly findings from a case study of a Belmont capstone class.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The objective was to develop and implement a course that would allow students to reflect on their development as a professional, assess and share achievement of the college\u2019s outcomes, complete a professional portfolio, establish a continuing professional development plan and prepare to enter the pharmacy profession.<\/p>\n<p>Findings concluded that the course provided an opportunity for student-based summative evaluation, direct observation of student skills and documentation of outcome completion as a means of evaluating readiness to enter the profession.<\/p>\n<p>To read the full journal article, click <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ajpe.org\/doi\/full\/10.5688\/ajpe79114\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Professors in the College of Pharmacy Drs.
