Winners were selected for their contributions to Music City\u2019s health community\u00a0by a panel of industry judges. Johnston\u00a0was recognized in the \u201cHealth Care Professional Services\u201d category along with other local leaders, including\u00a0Anne Sumpter Arney of Bone McAllister Norton PLLC,\u00a0Vicki Estrin\u00a0of C3\/Consulting,\u00a0Berry Holt\u00a0of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings,\u00a0Rosemary Plorin\u00a0of Lovell Communications,\u00a0Jerry Taylor\u00a0of\u00a0Stites &amp; Harbison PLLC and\u00a0Tommy Yeager\u00a0of M.J. Harris Construction Services.\u00a0The honorees will be recognized at an\u00a0awards luncheon on June 6 at Loews Vanderbilt Hotel\u00a0and in a special publication in the June 6\u00a0print edition of the\u00a0Nashville Business Journal.\u00a0\u00a0The luncheon celebrates \u201cthe accomplishments of the leaders, innovators, strategists and caretakers, whose work is helping to grow the region\u2019s health care industry and reinforcing Nashville as the health care capital of the nation.\u201d\u00a0 Belmont University School of Nursing professor Jane Shelby was recognized as a Health Care Hero in 2009.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Nashville Business Journal has named Dr. Phil Johnston, dean of Belmont\u2019s College of Pharmacy, as a Health Care Hero.
