margin: 5px;\" title=\"AbilitiesExpoAtlanta4\" src=\"http:\/\/forum.belmont.edu\/health\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/AbilitiesExpoAtlanta4-300x201.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"201\" srcset=\"https:\/\/forum.belmont.edu\/health\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/AbilitiesExpoAtlanta4-300x201.jpg 300w, https:\/\/forum.belmont.edu\/health\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/AbilitiesExpoAtlanta4.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Doctoral students in the School of Occupational Therapy will present findings of various research projects on Wednesday, April 17 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the lobby of McWhorter Hall on Belmont\u2019s campus.\u00a0 Two of the thesis groups collected data earlier this semester at the Atlanta Abilities Expo, an event that attracted several thousand participants including those with disabilities, their families and caregivers.<\/p>\n<p>Ashley Ganus, Jordan Carver and Mark Ivey interviewed wheelchair users regarding their perceptions of the effectiveness of their mobility device on their ability to function and complete desired tasks.\u00a0 Meanwhile, Rachael Restko and Rachel Rarig conducted interviews about hotel accessibility.\u00a0 The three-day event in February featured workshops, a sports carnival, and exhibits dedicated to providing solutions to enhance quality of life for the disabled.<\/p>\n<p>Click on photos to enlarge.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/forum.belmont.edu\/health\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/AbilitiesExpoAtlanta61.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-2018\" style=\"border: 1px solid black;
