• Jordan Fessler, grandson of Bill and Lee Fessler, two long term employees of Plant Operations, has passed away. His funeral was held July 31 at Hickory Chapel.
• Marilyn Trotter, mother of Jennifer Kiev in Adult Degree Programs, has passed away. Her funeral was held Aug. 1 in Durham, N.C.

• The father of Erin Pryor (Sociology) died June 22, and the visitation was June 26.
• The father of Danny Biles (Mathematics), William Biles, passed away on June 28. The funeral service was held July 1 at the Bennett-May-GilesCounty Funeral Home in Pulaski, Tenn. Click here to read the obituary.

• Former Belmont trustee Robert Wooddy, father of Dr. Martha Minardi in University College, passed away on June 25. His funeral was held June 28 at Bluegrass Baptist Church in Hendersonville, Tenn. Click here to read his obituary.
• Alumnus Joe Brantley (’55) passed away on June 25 in Brentwood. He was a member of the 1952 “Original” basketball team, appearing in six games. He lettered a year in baseball. Joe was a gentleman and a popular student. He was named Bachelor of Ugliness and was sports editor of Belmont Vision. He and his sweetheart Jean King were the Valentine King and Queen.

Charlie Holt, husband of Dr. Linda Holt from the Department of English, passed away this week. Visitation will be held today from 3 – 4 p.m. and on Saturday, April 28 from 1 – 2 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 2 p.m. at Christ Church Cathedral (900 Broadway). Please keep Linda and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

Frederick Dietsch, father of mathematics professor Sharon Crumpton, passed away April 1. A visitation followed by a memorial service celebrating Mr. Dietsch’s life was held April 4 at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church on Highway 96 in Franklin, Tenn.

Belmont is a Christian community of learning and service that strives to support its members through prayer. The following concern has come to our attention recently:

• Michel Poole, a senior School of Nursing student in the BSN program, passed away last week. His memorial service is 10 a.m. Monday, March 26 in the Massey Performing Arts Center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to the School of Nursing Scholarship Fund.
• Philosophy professor Ronnie Littlejohn’s mother passed away March 20 and will be buried March 24 in Texas.
• Vivian Dale Hall McClung, mother of Systems & Database Administrator Kevin McClung, passed away March 17, and her memorial service was March 20 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home.
• Betty Jean Colvin Biles, mother of Daniel Biles in Mathematics, passed away on March 4. The funeral was held March 7 at the Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home in Pulaski, Tenn. Click here to read the obituary.
