It’s All Belmont To Me – Belmont FYI Feature Profile of the Week

Walk the Talk
Sybril-Bennett2.jpgThis week’s Belmont FYI feature profile of the week is Dr. Sybril Bennett, Executive Director and Assistant Professor in the New Century Journalism program. She was nominated for the fifth guiding principle – “Walk the Talk” – for the consistent dedication and commitment she demonstrates.
Sybril sees her position as a ministry and says she loves the diversity her position affords. “Nothing stays the same except change and I love it,” she says.
When asked what “walking the talk” means to her, Sybril said we must all do our best to be consistent and dependable. “The older I get, the more I realize that I want to leave a legacy of love, accountability and professionalism,” she said. “To ‘walk the talk’ is just putting the money on the line instead of keeping it in your pocket.”
