It’s All Belmont To Me – Belmont FYI Feature Profile of the Week
Take Responsibility and Follow Through
This week’s Belmont FYI Feature Profile of the Week is Charmaine Bickram-Nanan, Program Assistant in the office of General Education. Charmaine has been a part of the Belmont community for nearly two years and was nominated for the second guiding principle, “Take Responsibility and Follow Through.”
Charmaine says she most enjoys Belmont because it is a Christian university and she appreciates her supervisor and colleagues from her area and across campus.
She says that taking responsibility and following through is a big part of her job. “Being the program assistant in Gen Ed, I have to wear so many different hats and I enjoy helping people as much as I can,” she said. “If I cannot answer a question, I try to do the research on the question or try to find someone who can help. If I have to refer a person to someone else, I try to find out what answer they were given so I will have an answer for the next time.”
Do you know a Belmont employee who embodies one of the five Guiding Principles? Nominate them for a Belmont FYI Feature Profile of the Week! Please send their name and a brief description of how they meet the criteria to the It’s All Belmont to Me Committee for consideration.
