Belmont will celebrate the life of Martin Luther King, Jr., through several events through January 28. Events are held each January as a part of the observance of Dr. King’s birthday. The Nashville Ballet and Belmont University School of Music present “Aesop’s Fables” on Sunday, January 28, at 2 p.m. in the Massey Performing Arts Center. Free Admission.
The Department of Social Work will host the Community Forum on Subsidized Permanent Guardianship January 29 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. in the Vince Gill Room. Subsidized Permanent Guardianship is a new option being offered by the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services on a pilot basis in Davidson County and two other regions. The community forum will provide an overview of the project, specific information on who may receive a subsidy and a question and answer session about this new option.
