Faculty and staff are invited to attend the Topping Out Ceremony for Thrailkill Hall Thursday, November 17 at 12:30 p.m. at the construction site of this new residence hall.
The next Belmont FAQ sessions for faculty and staff are Thursday, November 17, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. (location TBA) and Friday, November 18, from 10:00 to 10:50 a.m. in the Curb Cafe. As part of an ongoing effort to further enhance communication on campus, Dr. Fisher and the senior leadership team are continuing a unique presentation for faculty and staff to answer some of Belmont’s most Frequently Asked Questions. Dr. Fisher will give an overview of topics and ask for questions from the floor.
Great Performances at Vanderbilt presents Laurie Anderson at Belmont’s Massey Performing Arts Center Thursday, November 17 at 8:00 pm . Anderson will perform her piece The End of the Moon. Rich in stories, spoken word and electronics, and driven by haunting violin, The End of the Moon will take you on a journey through the universe of one of this century’s premier performance artists. Tickets for the performance are on sale at all Ticketmaster locations. Single ticket prices are $34, $30, and $26 for individuals. There will be a bonfire in the gravel lot behind Wright/Maddox on Friday November 18, and the entire gravel lot must be empty of vehicles for this event starting on Wednesday November 16. Also, on Friday November 18, level one of the parking garage will be reserved for the A-Sun Volleyball tournament. Parking will be available on other floors of the garage and other surface lots, as well as the 12th Avenue Lot and the Caldwell Lot, both of which are on the shuttle route. Please keep in mind that on these days utilizing the shuttle lots and alternative methods of transportation such as car pooling or using the MTA buses are appreciated.
