Web project updates from the office of Belmont's Web Developer and Multimedia Producer,
Paul Chenoweth.

What is this all about?

This is an experiment. Web development at Belmont University is evolving into something new. We're not exactly sure what the landscape will look like a year from now, but the changes in direction that the university's web team chose hold a lot of promise.

This blog will do a couple of things:
  • First, it is intended to keep people abreast of what is going on with THE current priority project, the conversion from our existing content management system to a packaged content management system that the university purchased from Hannon Hill.
  • The second purpose of this blog is to capture some of the events of web-development-world at Belmont University. Tracking all of the things that are going on in the computer programmiong area during the day has not been a high priority, but reflecting on what is going on may give us some insight into the development of better processes. So, you may see a post of odds and ends projects and requests that we handle...it's just a window into what is going on in the third floor library cave (i.e. world without windows) where we live.

If you promise to be nice and help us with constructive comments, you will see those comments appear below each post. If you want to complain, moan, whine, or be otherwise a pain-in-the rear, don't waste your time here...you may speak to us in person, we will give you a hearing before sending you on your merry way.
