Static file moves - Catalogs on staging server
Most of the current web pages on www.belmont.edu will be imported into the new Hannon Hill content management and converted into XML where the existing content will then take on whatever new look the university moves to now and in the future. There are some archived documents that will retain the look of previous web designs and will be imported as static HTML files (no changes or conversion to new templates).
It works!
We have moved the first of those files, our archived catalogs, over to the staging server and will have a documented process for this kind of move to add to the new user's manual. This is just the first step toward making pages using the new design...and we know that there is some tweaking needed in the process and the actual landing page function, but here are several hundred catalog files that have made the transition to our new server.
