Seminar Examines Crisis in Business Ethics
The Center for Business Ethics at Belmont University presents a seminar, The Crisis in Business Ethics: What We Can Do About It, on March 18 at the Massey Business Center.
This conference focuses on the nature of the national business ethics crisis and its impact on individuals and companies. James H. Cheek, Chair of the Corporate and Securities Practice at Bass, Berry and Sims, will give the keynote address. Mr. Cheek leads the American Bar Association’s National Task Force on Corporate Responsibility and previously chaired its Section on Business Law. A member of the New York Stock Exchange Legal Advisor Committee, Mr. Cheek lectures widely at numerous symposiums and institutions throughout the country.
A panel discussion on Strategies and Resources for Dealing with the Crisis in Business Ethics will follow. Panel members include: The Honorable Winfield Dunn, Former Governor of Tennessee and Chairman, Steering Committee, Character Counts; Karen Furstenberg, Partner in Business Risk Services, Ernst & Young; Clyde Ingalls, Regional President, First Tennessee Bank; Alan Yuspeh, Senior Vice President Ethics, Compliance, and Corporate Responsibility, HCA.
