Alexander Re-Elected to Baldrige National Foundation Board of Directors
Joe Alexander, Associate Dean and Senior Professor of Performance Excellence of the Jack C. Massey Graduate School of Business, has been re-elected to the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA) Foundation’s Board of Directors for 2007-2009. Board members confirmed as officers for the coming year are David Spong, former President , Aerospace Support – The Boeing Company (Chair), Joe Alexander (Chair-Elect), and Debbie Collard, Director of Program Management & Business Excellence, Integrated Defense Systems – The Boeing Company (Secretary). The MBNQA Foundation was created to provide the private sector a means of accomplishing the following award objectives: raise sufficient funds to establish an endowment which, when supplemented by fees from award applicants, would permanently fund the program; oversee the investment of endowment funds; review program accomplishments; disburse required funds to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST); and review the plan and approve associated funds requirements for subsequent years to ensure a successful award program. The foundation currently manages an endowment of approximately $23 million.
