Coach Byrd Featured on ESPN.com

Belmont men's basketball Coach Rick Byrd was featured today on the ESPN.com home page as part of the site's lead story on long-term Division 1 coaches. One of only 10 coaches featured who have been with their programs for more than 20 seasons, Byrd, who began his tenure at Belmont in 1986, praised the atmosphere of Belmont's campus and what the school represents. Other coaches mentioned in the article included Duke University's Mike Krzyzewski, Syracuse's Jim Boeheim, Connecticut's Jim Calhoun and Arizona's Lute Olson. To read the full story, click here
