Belmont Connections Have Hand in Carrie Underwood's Career
Ashley Gorley, adjunct instructor in the Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business, was a co-writer on Carrie Underwood's latest single, "Don't Forget to Remember Me." Gorley is a full-time songwriter for Combustion Music and is also a 1999 music business alumni.
Mark Bright, who attended Belmont University, shared an Academy of Country Music Award with American Idol winner, Carrie Underwood. Bright produced Underwood's No.1 single, "Jesus, Take the Wheel." Bright produced seven songs on her debut CD, Some Hearts.
