Belmont Celebrates Passing $170 Million Fundraising Goal
Belmont University is celebrating the reaching of a milestone fund-raising goal – the completion of its $170 million "Keeping the Promise" capital campaign. The university raised a total of $173,098,886 for the Keeping the Promise capital campaign through the end of 2005, funds that have gone for a number of new projects on campus including construction of the Curb Event Center, Maddox Grand Atrium, Beaman Student Life Center, Thrailkill Residence Hall, and the Inman Center for Health Sciences, as well as a variety of student scholarships and new and expanded academic programs. Belmont University President Dr. Robert Fisher is hosting a dinner tonight in the Maddox Grand Atrium in honor of all donors who gave $5,000 or more to the campaign, and all university faculty and staff are celebrating at a special lunch Wednesday, April 5.
