Commercial Music Showcase Features Best of School of Music

commmusicshowcase2006.jpgThe Belmont University School of Music presented its 14th Annual Commercial Music Showcase Monday night, featuring the best solo performers, arrangers, instrumentalists, background vocalists and crew in the school's Commercial Music Program, chosen via auditions last September.

The five performers were :

Sarah Silva, a Junior Commercial Vocal Major from Fort Smith, Arkansas.

The Commercial Music program is designed for students who wish to study contemporary/non-classical styles of music. The solo performer’s in the Commercial Music Showcase are indicative of the broad range of Belmont's Commercial Music program. Each student will perform two songs, and several of the selections are original compositions. The concert also features the best of the School of Music's background vocalists, instrumentalists and crew. All of the music charts for the concert have been arranged by the students of Belmont's composition and arranging classes.

Belmont University School of Music offers a comprehensive curriculum in diverse musical styles for students of all ages, including bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, and preparatory study.
