Business Management for Churches

CECover200510.jpgBelmont accounting professors Dr. Tommy Wooten and Dr. John Coker of the College of Business Administration have published an article on business management for churches in Church Executive magazine. The article looks at the unique financial management problems facing religious organizations and provides advice on how to implement effective internal financial controls. "Every church should be concerned about financial management and mismanagement in their organization," the article says. "It must be a priority of the church leadership to protect the church, its membership and staff." The article is online here and published in the October 2005 print edition.
