Belmont Announces Women's History Month Events
Belmont University has scheduled several Women's History Month events during the month of March, including a musical performance, an exhibit of art by women artists, a discussion of the role of sexuality in pop-music marketing, and an address by former Secretary of Energy and current Fisk University President Hazel O'Leary, and a discussion of women in the computing industry.

Tuesday, March 15,
Concert by up-and-coming Americana musician - and Belmont alum - Adrienne Young, (www.adrienneyoung.com)

Wednesday, March 16
The Department of Sociology will present "Selling Sex to Radio Program Directors," featuring the research of former Belmont students Denise Nichols & Emily Tanner-Smith
10:00 a.m., Massey Boardroom, 4th Floor, Massey Business Center
Wednesday, March 23
Dr. Karen Wieckert, Assistant Professor of Information Systems Management in the College of Business Administration, will present a talk entitled, "The Pipeline for Women in Computing"

Thursday, March 31
Women's History Month Keynote Address by Dr. Hazel O'Leary, President of Fisk University and former Secretary of Energy

Month of March:
Art exhibit featuring the work several local women artists in a variety of media including sculpture, painting, photography, textiles, printmaking, collage and jewelry-making.
