Medical Paper Quotes Nursing Dean

Dr. Debra Wollaber, Dean of the College of Health Sciences adn the School of Nursing at Belmont University, is interviewed in the August 2003 issue of Nashville Medical News about people making a mid-career switch to nursing. The story, which appeared on page 13 of the paper, is available online in a PDF file here when the August 2003 issue of the paper is posted online. In the story, Wollaber comments:

"I was just talking with a student that had a career in the music business, and she'd decided that nursing is the way to go.

"I would be lying if I said that salary is not an issue. Nursing has always been a profession where you can find employment anytime and anywhere. When there is an economic downturn, our enrollment does tend to go up."
