AD Strickland Profiled in Nashville City Paper

Nashville City Paper profiles Belmont University Athletic Director Mike Strickland, who is guiding Belmont's transition to NCAA Division 1 competition.

Strickland has faced challenge after challenge since arriving at Belmont from Murray State, where he had served as a Division I AD for nine years. He knew none of the coaches at Belmont when he asked them to consider the sacrifices they would need to make as the transition out of NAIA proceeded. He knew the task wouldn’t be easy for the athletics department or for those players who were at Belmont during the "limbo" years. But with his no-nonsense approach and his willingness to accept input from all staff members, Strickland gained trust from the get-go.
