Staff Changes in Belmont Athletic Department

Belmont University’s Department of Athletics has promoted Eric Jones to Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Matt Wilson to Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations.

Jones, entering his seventh year as Director of Marketing for athletics, has been at Belmont since 1993. In addition to his duties as marketing director, Jones is also the Director of Baseball Operations for each of the last four years. Over the last three years, Wilson has also gained experience working with the media relations departments of the Nashville Sounds and Tennessee Titans.

"Eric and Matt have displayed tremendous dedication and commitment to Belmont University,” said Director of Athletics Mike Strickland. "Their continued leadership within the Athletic Department has earned them the right to be Assistant Athletic Directors. They have functioned in this role over the last year and this is recognition of their value to the program."
