Belmont center hosts Cont. Ed. for Women in Construction

Belmont University Center for Entrepreneurship hosts an 8-week course “The Construction Industry Technician,” The Constructions Professionals Advantage, in partnership with the National Association of Women in Construction – Tuesday and Thursday evenings from June 10 – July 24, 2003.

Construction plays a major role in economic development. More men and women are entering the construction industry as owners and managers - as well as in professions that provide services to the industry. The Construction Industry Technician program incorporates the latest changes in the Construction Industry, representing an overview of the industry and its processes.

Included in the course are types of construction, forms of business ownership, contractual agreements, contract documents, construction insurance and bonding, and the construction process. Among course leaders are Gerald Kirksey, Attorney; Kruse & Associates, P.C.; and Heery International. NAWIC Member Fee: $175. Non-member fee: $200. CEU credits are available at an additional cost of $50.
