Love on the Inside

This past week has been quite busy! I have almost completed my jog/run course for the month of June. I am thoroughly satisfied with my running progress. The first week of class (with the humidity) resulted in running about 1.5 miles in about twenty minutes. And by the end of June, I will have run a straight 5K (3.1 miles) in hopefully less than 40 minutes. To say the least, I have almost reached the finish line.
Tonight, I am taking my buddy, Lane, to the movie, “Wall-E.” I am probably more thrilled to see this movie than he is. For a refresher, Lane is the eleven-year-old boy that I tutor in math and english.
So far, this summer has been filled with both rewarding, and unforgettable moments. Last evening, I had dinner with a five other RA’s at my former Resident Director’s apartment; and afterwards, I spent the remainder of the evening talking with a few good friends.
Right now, I am totally psyched about the fall because I will be an RA in Hillside. I “coffeed-it-up” with Chris, my new Resident Director earlier this week. As for senior year, I can hardly wait. I also believe that our staff will be top-notch. In college, the years continue to keep getting better and better. But for now – I’m content and am pumped about the rock-awesome opportunities that are happening right at this moment.
Fun fact: Go check out the MySpace page of Sugarland, one of the most innovative and creative groups in Country music. Sugarland’s new album, “Love on the Inside,” is released to stores July 22nd. I totally dig the 30-sec clips of the new songs – and you should too!
