Being Home
My Summer got off to a great start with lots of hanging out with friends before I packed up all my stuff and headed, first to Arkansas to pick up my older brother from college, and then home to Miami, Florida. It was a long trip and we didn't get in until early Saturday morning after leaving Friday morning from Ouachita Baptist University, where my brother attends. I got in a few horus of driving, which is always fun. I thought driving as the sunrises would be a lot more exciting than it was, but it's all good.
So now I'm back home.
I've been chilling like crazy these past few days, mainly playing guitar hero and just laughing and watching movies with my family. It's really crazy how much all of us are growing up and almost crazier to think that I am a Junior in college now. Whoa, when did that happen? Seriously, time has flown by, though in a good way. I couldn't have asked for a better sophomore year at Belmont. I grew so much as a person and as a friend. I'm looking forward to trying to implement those changes in my daily life at home over the summer. It often seems so easy to just go back to the way things work at home instead of trying to transform the not so great aspects of myself when I'm here into more honorable characteristics.
Whatever happens, lots of growth is to be had, and I'm looking forward to it.
