It finally feels like it is summer. Lately, I’ve been keeping busy. The first few weeks of summer have revolved around taking an occassional morning-or-evening run, interning at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and working as a Resident Assistant on campus. In addition, I will be taking a jog/run class throughout the entire month of June – and unfortunately, Finance in July.
For starters, this upcoming week will be crazy-hectic. I will be covering the entire 2008 CMA Fest as a student-journalist from June 5-8. The entire event is quite the experience for the country fanatic; and for that matter, I am beyond excited that I will be able to cover this four-day event from dawn ’til dusk. I am geared for the eleven-hour days of non-stop live music, autograph signings and the nightly LP Field concerts. This year, the artists that will be participating include: Faith Hill, Josh Turner, Carrie Underwood, Alan Jackson, Sugarland, Kellie Pickler and many…many…more.
Near the end of June, my parents are traveling twelve-hours south to Nashville, TN for a couple-days to visit. I am quite excited because I have not seen them since January! I am sure that they will definitely enjoy the humid weather to the max (just kidding.) Anyway, I am definitely looking forward to their future visit! Only a few more weeks away…
In the meantime, I will be focusing on my trip to India in December. My goal by the end of summer is to become more familiar with this incredible country before I depart. I have faith that God will provide financially in terms of creating a couple more avenues for me to make some money! However, there is one thing that I know for sure, and that is the fact that this trip will be an adventure of a lifetime.
After all – it’s all I want to do.
