Pages keep turning..

I feel as if I am a character in a novel that is learning to grasp every moment that life has to offer. But more importantly, a character who is portrayed as an upbeat, optimistic and energized college student. Right now, I’m not quite sure where the Lord (the Author) is leading me. However, there is definitely one thing that I know for sure; and that is to celebrate His truth and look forward to the next chapter.
Lately, I’ve been quite busy organizing a photography contest for Bruin Hills. I am very excited about this “photography extravaganza” because it stands as one of my very first programs! I’ve also been staying physically healthy by setting aside at least 30 minutes a day to work out in the Beaman Student Life Center. And without a doubt, I definitely enjoy meeting my friends in the Curb Café for lunch at least once or twice a week!
As these pages keep turning, I am already glancing ahead at next week. On Tuesday evening, I plan to attend a writer’s showcase featuring three Belmont student-musicians and a renowned Nashville songwriter. Next Saturday, I am also looking forward to the Cover showcase! At the ‘Cover’ showcase, four students will perform well-known cover songs in the Curb Event Center.
This weekend, I have to complete a group paper for my religion class, and prepare for a Business Ethics test. Other than that, I am patiently waiting for the highly anticipated Spring Break. It will be spent with a good friend; and for some reason, it seems so close – yet so far. Until then … the pages will continue to turn.
