A new puppy!!!!

The last month has been SO busy for me! I've been trying to balance so many different things. It's kind of stressing me out, but Spring Break is coming up pretty soon!! I'm very excited to finally be able to rest and just spend time doing absolutely nothing. I, unfortunately, am not going to the beach, but I'm sure I'll still have fun at home! The best part about SB is being able to take spontaneous trips, so while I say I'm not going to the beach as of now, you never know! I may pack my Vera Bradley bag, put some gas in the car, and head off for a couple days in the sun!

It was my mom's birthday on Friday, so I went home to spend time with her. I told her that I'd do anything she wanted to do. She wanted to go to the mall, which I was TOTALLY okay with! We started off on our Mommy/Daughter Mall-Mission determined to buy some cute outfits. Then, I had another brilliant idea...the puppy store!! Let me go back to about 8 years ago when I still lived in Michigan...the same thing happened. I suggested that we go look for puppies just for fun. My grandparents have two miniature schnauzers, so I really wanted one too! We looked around the store for a little while and then my mom was ready to leave. Just as we're walking out, I said, "MOM! There's a miniature schnauzer!!" She immediately fell in love with the puppy, asked one of the workers to let us play with the puppy, and then came to the realization that we HAD to own this dog. We called my dad, who was not thrilled at the idea of getting a puppy, but he caved in and said okay after much reluctance. So, here we are, almost 8 years later, very happy with our dog, Truman. We've always thought that Truman could use a friend for when we aren't at home, but had never really entertained the idea of actually buying another one so soon.

My mom and I went into the pet store with no real intention of buying a dog. But then...we see a little silky terrier. It was SO cute! My mom wanted to play with it and then decided that she wanted it to be her birthday present. She and I walked around the mall for a little while trying to think about our potential addition to the family. After about an hour and a half, we head back to the pet store to buy the puppy. Unfortunately, we got back and it was SOLD!! My mom was so sad!! Then, we see a miniature schnauzer puppy. schnauzer.jpg
A precious little girl!! We held her, fell in love with her, and then bought her!!! I spent the rest of the night and the next day playing with the puppy!

After an eventful visit home, I came back to school late last night to practice my scene for my Film Acting class. This week is going to be way too busy for me. I have four performances to get prepared for!! It’ll be fun though!

In more news, Belmont beat Jacksonville and is going to the Big Dance!!! WOO!!! GO BRUINS!
