Tennessee.

Lately – Nashville is really transforming into a place that resembles home. I am so unbelievably happy for the friends that the Lord has placed in my life. Annie Leibowitz once stated, “You can simply change yourself by picking up and moving.” One-year-and-a-half-ago, I did just that. I packed as much as I could into my dad’s shiny-blue pick-up truc, leaving only memories spent with family and the solid foundation which constitutes who I am today. Now, it is the year of two-thousand-and-eight…and here I am.
As a junior at Belmont, I am so grateful that I have been blessed with the opportunity to attend an institution with a premiere Music Business program. One of the greatest rewards of moving to Tennessee from the great state of Wisconsin evolves around the weather. The weather is entirely sporadic and is completely unpredictable. Last week, I returned from class totally soaking wet (without an umbrella) because I guess mother nature just thought it would be a great idea to initiate a torrential downpour. Nonetheless, I survived. Other than that, I totally enjoy the forty-five degree weather in early February.
In terms of school, this week has been quite hectic! On Thursday, I took a test in both Artist Management and Business Ethics. In addition, I even had to hand in an “artist image” paper for my PR in the Music Industry class. To say the least, I am happy that the weekend is approaching once again. I do not have too many big plans for the weekend. I guess I will just see where the Lord leads me. The best days are the days which are not planned. My life is spontaneous. You should try it. It creates a life that is one-hundred-and-ten-percent worthwhile. Try it, and believe me – you won’t regret it. Give it a shot.
