And the Madness Begins

IMG_0222.jpg
(This picture is of me and my friend Guss over my Christmas Break. Don't I look mad (as in crazy, 'mad')?

So, I am one of those crazy sophomores who finds herself slightly ahead of the other sophomores and decides to take a few Third-Year classes because they sound interesting and will continue to help the process of graduating on time. I now am wondering if I should regret being one of those crazy sophomores after I've been to all my classes now.

On Mondays I have my Junior Cornerstone, which is a seminar class for Third-Year students. Mine is two and a half hours long and it is on the subject of race and the evolution of blackness. Lots of deep stuff thrown out in that class today and I'm definitely looking forward to all I will learn. I'm also taking Health and Fitness Concepts, Third-Year Writing, Intro to Psych, Weight Training, and Creative Writing. Of all those I'm probably most excited about Creative Writing with Dr. Sandy Hutchins, because I am looking forward to furthering my writing skills and Belmont probably has one of the best English Faculties in the nation (Check 'em out if you don't believe me! Faculty).

Anyways, school has been very crazy of late. I'm trying to get back in the swing of things, but I'm also kind of nervous because this year is going to be heavy for me academically. I really think I can do well in all my classes, but I know its going to take a lot of discipline and maybe missing out on some events that could potentially be really good.

Hopefully, I'll take advantage of the opportunities I have here to learn more about myself and my world through these classes though without killing myself in the process.
