Soon-a-what-a?

So last week, University Ministries began its weekly on-campus worship experience called Synodia (pronounced soon-a-dee-a), and it is absolutely amazing. Last year, University Ministries sponsored Refuge, but I wasn't a big fan of the format, so some of my friends and I went to a worship gathering called Sanctuary that was held at (though not affiliated with) a Church of Christ. However, I have to say that I'm enjoying Synodia so much because it's a part of Belmont, and its so cool to be able to corporately worship with fellow students and friends. I think it's a big part of building a spiritual community on our campus.
Last week, it was held in the Maddox Grand Atrium, but this week (because of unforseen events) we had it in the University Ministries lounge. It was pretty intense to see so many people packed into the UM lounge praising Jesus. I'm so excited to see what God's going to do on Belmont's campus this year. There's been a lot of talk about revival, and I'm definitely seeing signs of God's hand on the move in people's hearts.
My Near 48 Bible Study is going really well. The freshman girls in my bible study are just amazing. I feel so blessed to be their Spiritual Life Assistant. I know God is going to do big things in their lives this year, as well as my own.
School is getting pretty busy right now. It's funny, My first week of school this year was so much more intense than my freshman year. I guess taking upper level English Lit classes that require tons of reading are a big part of my homework pile. I'm having lots of fun taking Clay, though. We're coil building jugs right now. It's so fun, it's not even like a class. It's like a stress relieving course instead of an added strain onto my workload, so that's nice. But, anyways, I've got a short paper to write now, so I will be ending my entry right here.
