A Much Needed Break

So, I just returned from my trip to Kentucky and Chicago. It was pretty much amazing. First up, Kentucky. I flew in on Thursday the 19th. It's really just a beautiful state, and I got to hang out with one of my most beautiful friends, Devon Graves. Her house is just awesome and really old and Victorian, and I loved it. So, I got to meet her family. Her sisters are awesome and her parents are cool. I also got to see her play two shows. One at Borders and then one at the Farm where she works. They were both awesome, and it helped me remember how much I love Devon's music. We also went to the Harry Potter release party at Borders, and we made shirts, and we dressed up (I wore a tie), and we had an awesome time.

Next up, Chicago. I flew into Chicago from Kentucky on Sunday afternoon and my buddy Rachel Harlow picked me up. We didn't really get to spend that much time together as she had to fly out to Texas the next day, but we got a bit of time to hang out before we see each other at school in a few weeks. What really stunned me was the pink hair she'd recently acquired. Rachel Harlow with pink hair? Ok, so it's not all pink, but a sizable portion of it is. Anyways, Rachel dropped me off at Sarah Chellappa's friend Sarah Barlows's house (crazy, I know, lol) and we headed to the city. It was a great time, though I was a little tired. But I got to see the downtown area of Chicago, and eat at Maggiano's, which is really awesome Italian food. Then I went to stay with Sarah C for the rest of my trip. It was so cool to meet the rest of her family.

I love hanging out with Sarah because we just get each other, and we also just are really chill and relaxed. Like on Monday morning, I finished Harry Potter, then I just hung around with Sarah and her siblings, and we watched the 2nd half of the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice. On Tuesday though, we went shopping and I got some dope new shoes. Other than that, I enjoyed hanging with her and her family and having good talks. It was a good trip.
