BU2U – The Trifecta!

This past couple of weeks have been a lot of fun, but very busy. First off, summer classes are STILL going pretty good. I got an A in International Business last summer session, and as of now I have an A in Business Law, as well. If you don’t love school, I wouldn’t suggest taking summer classes at all because it’s hard to change your mindset from being relaxed to class mode during the summer. But I can say that I’ll be ready for classes in the Fall, not to mention everybody coming back to Nashville. But back to BU2U, I went to three cities for the first time Memphis, Knoxville, and Cincinnati. I have great things to say about each city, because each city was very unique in it’s own way.

Wow. I cannot believe that it is already the end of July. Last night around 11 p.m. – I flew into the Central Wisconsin Airport. I am currently spending a few days at home as a short “break” from summer classes and interning. So far – it is a knock-you-off-the-seat-of-your-pants good time.

A Much Needed Break

So, I just returned from my trip to Kentucky and Chicago. It was pretty much amazing. First up, Kentucky. I flew in on Thursday the 19th. It’s really just a beautiful state, and I got to hang out with one of my most beautiful friends, Devon Graves. Her house is just awesome and really old and Victorian, and I loved it. So, I got to meet her family. Her sisters are awesome and her parents are cool. I also got to see her play two shows. One at Borders and then one at the Farm where she works. They were both awesome, and it helped me remember how much I love Devon’s music. We also went to the Harry Potter release party at Borders, and we made shirts, and we dressed up (I wore a tie), and we had an awesome time.

Harry Potter!!!!!

Between pool time, hangin out with friends, modeling here and there, I don’t have much to do other than play guitar hero…I don’t know why that has become one of my favorite hobbies. I’m beginning to think I don’t have a life. Ha ha. This is one of my new favorite pictures. Rachel, Jaclyn and I at one of the visitation nights at Miss Tennessee in June. We all won our local pageants together and I love them dearly!!

I’m coming to a town near you.

This summer has just flown by so fast, and I can remember when I could sleep all day because summer classes hadn’t begun yet. But that was a while ago. A lot of good things have been happening this summer, like me and my mom went up to Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom and rode every ride possible. It was a blast except for the heat, but don’t worry that was fixed by going to the water park. And probably one of the coolest things will be going on over the next two weeks. So what exactly do I mean? I’m talking about BU2U, and it’s a way to bring the Belmont community closer to you. For people living in the Knoxville, Memphis, and Cincinnati, OH areas, be looking for me along with other current students and admissions counselors who will come and talk about Belmont and Nashville.

I’ve been a traveler

The last night that I was in New Orleans, I went to the Essence Music Festival!! I got to see CHRIS BROWN!!! ANDDDDD BEYONCE!!! They were absolutely incredible! Chris Brown is such a great performer and he is probably the best dancer I’ve ever seen..he’s amazing!! We all know what to expect from Beyonce, the Diva herself! She, of course put on a great show! Chris put on a concert that was a little more than an hour. He even had Bow Wow come out at one point so they could do their song “Shortie Like Mine.” Chris also did a Michael Jackson act where he had on a red jacket just like the one Michael wore in the “Thriller” video. Now when I say that Chris Brown had every single move down, I don’t mean that hardly…he was move-for-move Michael Jackson! So impressive! He could honestly dance, moonwalk, etc BETTER than Michael Jackson!! Who would of thought?! Beyonce turned it out! That’s all I can say about her! Comedian Steve Harvey came out to the stage before and after each act to entertain. He’s hilarious!!!

Weekend To Remember

Miami Beach.jpg
So this past weekend one of my good friends from school, Molly, who’ll be studying abroad in Spain Fall semester, came to visit. This was one of the most fun weekends this summer. Molly came in on Friday and we went to Wal-Mart and I bought my camera (The lovely Canon SD1000). It put a little dent in my bank account, but it’s totally worth it, what with it being able to capture all the good times I had this past weekend and future fun times. Anyways, Molly and I got to hang out on Friday and catch up on each other’s summers. She got to meet my family, and it was kind of funny how easily she fit in. Saturday we went to Miami Beach (the picture up top was taken in the surrounding downtown area) and had tons of fun in the heat. Molly ended up with sunburn because she refused to wear sunscreen… it was kind of funny actually. Then later on Saturday, we went to Barnes and Noble and read Children’s books to each other.

Livin’ the Dream

I know I say this in every single blog so why break the tradition? Life is absolutely crazy-busy. And why in the world is summer going so fast? Will it ever slow down? This week is definitely one of the busiest weeks yet so far this summer. Tonight – I’m going to hang out with my buddy Greg – and later on – plan to catch up with another buddy of mine at Fido’s – a local coffee shop located right here in the heart of Nashville Town.
