Best Week Of The Summer.....So Far

The past week or two have been really good for me. It''s probably one of the few times that I can sincerely respond "I'm doing great" when someone asks how I am doing. Why, you may ask? First off, I just found out that I now have an apartment for the school year. Even though it is on the fourth floor, I couldn't care less because that means no more living in the dorm, ever. Oh okay I know that I said that "my dorm is way cooler than the apartments," but that's because I forgot what it was like to have your own space. Don't get me wrong the dorms are pretty cool because there is always folks around to hang out with and go to the cafeteria with you, but nothing gets better than Hillside.

Speaking of which, I am actually having some friends from back in the dorm come over tonight and hang out. There will be all kinds of food and drinks as well as games and studying going on. This will probably be the highlight of my summer so far because I haven't seen many people since school has been out including, my old roommate James, Chace, Stephen, and Kaitlin and her friends. I told everybody they could come over last week, forgetting that I have a huge test in my International Business class. Oh well, that's fine because I always do pretty good on tests. Yeah, that means I'm awesome, I know.

Okay, now back to my incredible week. My dad came up to Nashville to see me last weekend. Usually when he stops by, it isn't for an extended period of time because he is headed to some big business meeting or workshop here in town. So this time he shows up all dressed up like he just got out of a meeting, but actually came up here to see the new apartment and make a day out of it. We went to the Cheesecake Factory, and it changed my life. The food was some of the best that I've ever had, and never mind the food the restaurant itself was really nice. But to make a long story short, my dad came up here to Nashville to give me his old car. That's probably that best gift I've ever gotten besides my iPod... just kidding.
