Wow. I somehow imagined that life would slow down since the closure of this past semester’s classes. To say the least, everything has been kind of crazy since school has ended. I attended a Grammy “summer block party,” went out to dinner with a couple of great friends, and without a doubt, participated in Melinda Doolittle’s homecoming festivities! Melinda Doolittle’s exclusive Belmont performance was definitely a highlight of this past week. Melinda represents not only Belmont, but more importantly, is a phenomenal vocalist who places the Lord as her #1 importance!

For the past few days, I spent some quality time with my parents and my wonderful Grandmother. On their visit, I took them to historic downtown Franklin. While in Franklin, we treated ourselves to a delectable lunch at Merridee’s Bakery and Restaurant. As I sit here writing this, I am so thankful that God has brought them all into my life!

In a few days, I will begin my internship with an independent record label in good ole’ Music City USA! I am extremely pumped for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! I am so grateful that God is enabling me to jump into the music industry at only twenty years of age. Well, I suppose! I am going to get going because I want finish a really great book titled, “Blue Like Jazz.” I suggest that y’all should check it out! More info on how the summer will roll in the upcoming weeks - stay tuned... :-)
