Summertime?
I know I keep on saying it, but it is crazy how fast time goes. I am sitting in my living room at home, in four days I will be back at Belmont, and then within another four weeks, I will be in my living room again, and school will be over! I am excited that the end of the year is so near, but I know that I am nowhere near ready for it to end. Finals, papers and reports galore...it will be a long four weeks.
Nashville these past two weeks has made it feel like summer is already here. The temperature did not go below 80 degrees for about two weeks. And it was sunny nearly the entire time! All the quads were filled up with people sunbathing and just going outside to do their work. And it is baseball season again! Nothing beats watching your favorite team on TV or heading out to one of the Belmont baseball or softball games. I hope to be able to get to one of those games before the year is over.
Lots of stuff has been going on at Belmont as well. Last Saturday was Preview Day, a family literacy day held by Belmont, Bruin Den Day where students volunteer across the community, and Into Nashville which is a community service organization. And the busy schedule continues once we all return from Easter Break. In about a week, the CMT music awards
will be held in the Curb Event Center. As any of my friends could tell you, I am relatively obsessed with country music. So while I wasn’t able to get a ticket to the event, I will be trying my hardest to catch a glimpse of some country musicians. I can’t wait!
