It's Almost Here!

Yes sir, I am a couple of days away from not being a teenager anymore. That's right, I'm going to turn the BIG 20 this Wednesday the 11th. I can already feel myself getting older every day. I'm finally getting a mustache and starting on a goatee. This isn't fair because all of my friends have had lots of facial hair since high school, and I'm a sophomore in college just now getting a few whiskers. Another reason why I feel like I'm old is because I sleep every chance I get in a split-second. As soon as my classes are done for the day, I head back to the dorm and take a nap every day. See, if that's not an old man I don't know what is. Last year, I didn't really do much on my birthday but eat some cake, but this year I am going to try and have a party and do it real big. Hey, you only turn 20 once right? Next year's birthday party will be the big one to remember, but that's a long ways away. For now I'm just going to enjoy being 20.

Other than it being my birthday really soon, there are other somewhat big events going on within the next few weeks. For starters, the CMT Awards are going to be held here on campus in the Curb Event Center. Don't get me wrong. I am by no means a country music fan, but that's a big time awards show here at Belmont. If that's not pretty cool I don't know what is. I have some old friends back home that would love to see any of the celebrities that will be here. IMAGE_006.jpgThis year I'm getting pictures of some of the stars coming in just like this one here. In the picture I was at my old high school, and they were hosting a Celebrity basketball game for the DeVinner Foundation, which raises money for local public school systems around Nashville. That's me with former Titans receivers Kevin Dyson, who took the Titans to their first Super Bowl with the Music City Miracle, and Chris Sanders.
