Counting down the days
Just like college students all around the world, I am counting down the days until summer! It's funny to think that after our Easter break this weekend, we only will have about 5 weeks remaining in the semester. While I've truly enjoyed this semester, I think it's about time for some R&R (rest and relaxation). So for the next few weeks, I have to make sure I'm a good little student and continue to attend classes. I mean, honestly, I can handle waking up early for just a few more weeks. When doing homework, I just remind myself..."5 more weeks til sunshine and summertime!"
The housing bids were held last week. My bid time was later in the week based on how many hours I'll have completed by the end of the semester. The rumor was that all the rooms and apartments were taken. I started getting really worried, I thought I was going to be homeless and I'd have to find a nice little patch of grass to sleep on somewhere on the soccer fields. Those tennis courts were looking pretty welcoming too! But rest assured I'm not homeless!! I'm staying in the same room again next semester.
Another note, I was really excited to hear that Belmont is competing to host one of the 2008 Presidential debates!! They would be held sometime in the fall. This is really exciting, especially for me, because these are the first presidential elections I can take part in!! I love politics, so I'm excited about finally getting to vote and hopefully I'll get the opportunity to go to the debate! For more information on the debate, you can click here!
Another fabulous note on how amazing Belmont is......RACHEL SMITH WON MISS USA!!! Also, Melinda Doolittle is most likely going to win American Idol! These wonderful women are both Belmont alumni!! What a big year for Belmont!!!!
