Last weekend I attended the annual Phi Kappa Tau (For more about Greek Life at Belmont Click here) Founder’s Day Formal, which was pretty much awesome. I wasn’t even expecting to go when my friend Alex called me up and asked if I would be his date. We had a great time dancing the night away with a lot of our friends as well as getting our munch on and celebrating PKT’s Founder’s Day.
Overall, I’ve got to say Belmont’s Greek Life is pretty cool. Though I’m not a part of Greek Life, I have several friends who are involved in it, and it’s another way to get involved on campus. With Belmont not being a larger school, it probably won’t have any massive effect on your social life if you go greek or not. However, Belmont’s Greek Life is more than just socializing. In fact, just recently the Phi Mu sorority hosted a benefit concert in front of the bell tower to raise money for the W.O. Smith Music School For Children. All in all, I’ve got to say Belmont’s Greek Life has some really cool people involved in it, and it’s definitely something to check out if you’re interested in going Greek.
