Hey friends!
Last thursday (March 1) I was able to attend the Country Radio Seminar! It was a lot of fun to meet and greet with some of the biggest songwriters in Nashville. Artists such as Jack Ingram and Danielle Peck from Big Machine Records were there as well. There were a lot of performances going on that night, and among these performers were Taylor Swift, Jeffrey Steel, and Megan Mullins, to name a few. Jeffrey Steele is absolutely AMAZING! He is the biggest songwriter in Nashville! Not only has he written some of the biggest hits this year (does “What Hurts the Most” ring a bell?), his performance skills are equally amazing. He can play guitar, piano, he has an amazing voice, and he’s an extremely talented songwriter. Megan Mullins from Broken Bow Records is also a great up-and-coming country artist. That girl can SING! She’s so much fun to watch while she’s singing. She started off by singing while playing the guitar, then she proceeded to put her guitar down and walk over to pick up her fiddle. I was really impressed! Taylor was also very entertaining as usual. She played two of my favorite songs : “Our Song” and “Stay Beautiful”. If ya’ll haven’t bought her CD yet, you should! I highly recommend it!
So it’s finally Spring Break! It’s been good to be able to catch up on some well deserved sleep, go to some yoga classes in Franklin, and eat some home-cooked meals! However, while some people enjoy going to the beach or going skiing for SB, others like to stay in Nashville….and get their car towed. Yes, I got towed. Word to the wise: If there isn’t any parking in front of your friend’s apartment, don’t park next door where it clearly says “Tow Away Zone,” even if you only plan on staying for 10 minutes. So, I got towed, my dad had to pick me up, and now I owe him $65. Ha ha it’s all good! No worries! Anyway, I was pretty stoked when I got home to check my email and saw that Belmont got another NCAA bid!!! I’m so excited!!! GO BRUINS!!!!

Sadly, Spring Break is almost over, but I think I’m about ready to get back to escuela (that’s ‘school’ for all you non spanish speakers). Don’t forget to cheer on The Bruins basketball team! They learned their seed and opponent tonight, and you can go to the Athletic website to learn more.
