My Dorm is WAY cooler than the apartments!

IMAGE_161.jpg
Here on campus there are ten main housing complexes, which include seven dorms and three apartment complexes. But of all of those my dorm (look to the right, there is a peek at the lobby), Thrailkill Hall, which just happens to be the newest addition to housing this school year, is by far the best. And I have several reasons backing my BOLD argument. One, it's new! That means I'm the first and only person to live in my room.....so far. Two, there is a big sense of community as far as people interacting with one another and hanging out in the lobby. I've seen people do everything from play simple card games like Poker and UNO to enjoying a game of four square. There has even been small, little concerts set up in the lobby with musicians in the dorm showcasing their talent at one of our many events.

Not to mention that we just recently held a Super Bowl party, which was pretty good considering how boring and sloppy the game was. Well, probably not the case if you are a Colts fan, right?! We even had our own halftime show set up right there in the lobby. Another event we hosted, which was by far the best dorm event in years was the Haunted House. Another dorm on campus tried to copy us, but...yeah the keyword there was TRIED, right Pembroke! And on top of all the events and community, Thrailkill is the most diverse residential area on campus. I say this because, we have upperclassmen, with several freshmen sprinkled here and there. There are both boys and girls that live there, but they are split by floor with restricted card access. And there are all kinds of majors as well, from the obvious music buisness and music majors, all the way to Pre-med, Psychology, and the best major Entrepreneurship (hint hint)!
